This Anti-Bribery Policy outlines our commitment to preventing bribery and corruption within our organization and sets forth the procedures for assessing, mitigating, and managing bribery risks.
– Medconnect shall:
– Review the MoJ’s Bribery Act 2010 Quick Start Guide.
– Conduct a comprehensive bribery risk assessment using the guidelines provided by The Institute of Risk Management and Transparency International UK’s Bribery Risk Guide.
– Document their own bribery risk assessment, including identified risks and proposed controls.
– Medconnect will implement preventative and detective controls appropriate to their size, staff structure, technological sophistication, and type of business, including but not limited to:
– Anti-bribery training for all employees.
– Conducting related party link checks.
– Performing due diligence on third parties prior to commencing services.
– Implementing common sense checks on the size of payments received/paid relative to services provided/received.
– Monitoring complaints and conducting “mystery shopper” exercises of staff.
– Medconnect will clearly document their methods of sourcing business, ensuring compliance with the Bribery Act and MoJ’s Guidance.
– Where a Medconnect or any director, or employee engages in financial dealings with organizations or individuals from countries designated as “high risk” or “very high risk” by Trace International’s Trace Bribery Risk Matrix, increased bribery risk exists.
– Medconnect will comprehensively assess and document the steps taken to mitigate this risk.
– Any suspected or actual instances of bribery or corruption must be reported immediately to the designated compliance officer.
– Medconnect will comply with all relevant anti-bribery laws, regulations, and guidelines, including the Bribery Act 2010 and MoJ’s Guidance.
– All employees, including management, must receive regular training on anti-bribery policies, procedures, and best practices.
– Medconnect will promote a culture of ethics and integrity, encouraging employees to report any concerns or suspicions regarding bribery or corruption.
– This Anti-Bribery Policy and Standard Operating Procedure will be reviewed periodically to ensure effectiveness and compliance with evolving regulations and best practices.
– Non-compliance with this policy may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or contract.
