1. Act in the Best Interests of the Claimant:

   – All employees of Medconnect Solutions must prioritize the best interests of the Claimant in all interactions and decisions.

   – Employees must respect the diversity of Claimants and ensure that personal biases do not influence their dealings with individuals.

   – Professional standards must be always upheld when engaging with Claimants.

2. Respect the Confidentiality of the Claimant:

   – Employees must treat all information about the Claimant as confidential and use it only for the intended purposes.

   – Personal data and confidential information must not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals.

   – Compliance with Data Protection Legislation and best practices for handling confidential information is mandatory.

3. Maintain High Standards of Personal and Professional Conduct:

   – Employees must uphold high standards of personal and professional conduct to maintain the trust and confidence of the general public and stakeholders.

   – Cooperation with MedCo and other bodies (HCPC / GMC) and its personnel, including timely response to correspondence and complaints, is expected.

4. Provide Important Information about Conduct and Competence:

   – Employees must promptly inform MedCo of any important information regarding their own conduct or competence, as well as that of their colleagues, in accordance with applicable laws.

   – This includes disclosures related to criminal convictions, disciplinary actions, allegations of misconduct, or financial difficulties.

5. Keep Professional Skills and Knowledge Up to Date:

   – Employees are responsible for maintaining up-to-date professional skills, knowledge, and performance relevant to their roles.

   – Compliance with accreditation requirements and ongoing training, particularly in areas related to MedCo, is essential.

6. Keep Accurate Records:

   – Accurate records must be maintained of all interactions with Claimants and activities related to the use of the MedCo Database.

7. Behave with Integrity:

   – Integrity must be demonstrated in all interactions with Claimants, colleagues, and stakeholders.

   – Full disclosure of any financial links with other parties involved in the process, adherence to legal requirements regarding referral fees, and avoidance of misleading information are imperative.

8. Comply with Civil Procedure Rules, Practice Directions, and Protocols:

   – Compliance with relevant civil procedure rules, practice directions, and protocols, including fraud checks required by the RTA protocol, is mandatory.

9. Comply with MedCo Rules and Agreement:

   – Employees must familiarize themselves with and adhere to the terms of the MedCo Agreement and Rules.

   – Updates to rules and guidance issued by MedCO must be followed, and employees should stay informed of any revisions.
