This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2024.

Our Organisation

 

Fenrick & Stone Solicitors is a UK-based law firm specialising in immigration law. We employ 25 staff across our offices in Bradford.

 

Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking

  1. Ethical Employment Practices
    1. Verification of all employees’ right to work in the UK
    2. Payment of at least the National Living Wage
    3. Zero tolerance of forced, bonded or involuntary prison labour
  2. Supply Chain Due Diligence
    1. Preferential selection of UK-based suppliers
    2. Supplier questionnaires on modern slavery compliance
    3. Contractual obligations regarding ethical practices
  3. Training and Awareness
    1. Annual training for all staff on identifying modern slavery risks
    2. Specific training for recruitment and procurement teams
    3. Whistleblowing policy to report concerns anonymously

Risk Assessment and Management

  1. We have identified the following potential risk areas:
    1. Temporary staff through recruitment agencies
    2. Office cleaning and maintenance contractors
    3. IT equipment supply chains
  2. Mitigation measures include:
    1. Regular audits of recruitment agencies
    2. Pre-approved supplier lists
    3. Spot checks on working conditions

  2. 100% of staff completed modern slavery awareness training
